BIBLE STUDY

Bible study is a religious education held on Wednesdays @ 7pm to explicate the learning of the God’s word. The bible instructs us to study to show ourselves approvable unto God a workman not a shame rightly dividing the word of God 2 timothy 2:15. Our Purpose is to promote knowledge and understanding. To develop a relationship with God and to minister the Word of God to people that is in need and those seeking for a divine revelation of his word.

Sunday school is a religious education held on Sundays at 8:30 a.m.-9:30a.m. to teach the bible. Our purpose is aim at helping people from all age groups to embrace the principles of God. To bring about a spiritual growth to all people. Classes are offered in four groups: Adult (ages 19 and above), Teens (age 13-18), Junior (age 9-12) Preschool (ages 3-8).

PRAISE & WORSHIP/CHOIRS

“I will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high” Psalm 7:17. “But the hour cometh, and now is when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.” (John 4: 23)

Our purpose is to set the atmoshpere for each service. To serve the people with spiritual songs and hymns. To surrender to the holy spirit so that he can use us. To minister God’s anointed word through songs to the unbeleivers, comfort the wounded and broken heart through the pulling down of all strong holds.For more information please see SIS. PRAISE & WORSHIP TEAM

The praise team is made up of independent individuals who are worshippers and who live a life that they can freely worship God. Rehearsals are held on 1st & 3rd sundays.

SJFG MASS CHOIR

The Mass Choir is made up of of teens and adults with an array of voice melody. It is available for ages 13 and above.
Rehearsals are held on 1st & 3rd sundays @ 1:00 p.m.

SJFG MALE CHOIR 

This choir is available to males. They offer tradition and praise songs.

USHER MINISTRY

“For a day in your court is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness” Psalm 84: 10.

Our purpose is to serve as a doorkeeper. All sjfg ushers are trained to meet the needs of the church body during all services. To greet people and ensure a welcoming and safe
envirnoment.

SJFG OUTREACH MINISTRIES

“I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.” Matthew 25:36 The bible say go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15).

Our purpose is to evangelize and reach people of all gender, belief, and race outside the wall of our sanctuary with compassion and kind-heartedness. To change lives, restore discipleship and hope. To give individuals the opportunity to learn the bible and what God expect of them.

Jail Ministry

I was in prison, and you visited me.” (Matt 25:37)

SJFG Jail ministry is conducted weekly on Sunday’s morning at our local jail facility to reach lives for Christ behind the jail wall. To restore confidence and direction to those incarcerated and share the love of Jesus Christ through scriptures and prayer.For more information contact Elder Tom Gilkey.

Nursing Home Ministry

SJFG Nursing Home ministry is conducted on the 3rd Saturday of each month at our local nursing home. We provide fellowship, hope, individual visitation and spiritual guidance to elderly men and women who are confined to the nursing home. We demonstrate the love of God toward those struggling with infirmity, loneliness through teaching the holy word of God, implementing prayers, hymn or chorus songs.

Organizations for SJGF's YOUTH

“Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.” (Mark10: 14).

Our Purpose is to introduce young people to Christ. To disciple them in spiritual growth, to train them to serve God with their whole heart and to equip them with the word of God.

SJFG's DRILL TEAM

An adapted military style organization available to youth of various ages achieving a sense of devotedness to Christ. Our purpose is to honor God, give praises, learn and study the scriptures of the bible. To perform marches, chants, and steps to the exalting of Christ. TEEN MINISTRY

An organization available to teens ages 13 and above. Our purpose is to allow teens to fellowship with one another focusing on daily situations and struggles that teen faces and to use the bible approach on how to handle those situations. To equip teens to evangelize and reach out to others, bringing them into the family of Christ. To be provide socializations for teen through spiritual entertainments and outings. This organization meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. starting June 9, 2014

YOUTH CHOIR

The youth choir is an organization available to youth of various ages. Our purpose is to minister spiritual songs and praises to God. Rehearsal  for this organization is held 2th &4th fridays  5:45p -6:45p.  If interested in joining, see or contact Elder Carol Lockett

MUSIC EDUCATION

The purpose of this ministry is to exposed students of all ages to musical training and to help them develop skills that are necessary to play different instruments so they can integrate their talent within the body of Christ. They are trained to learn chords and to play by ear. If training to play a keyboard, you must have ownership of a keyboard. Practice is held on Wednesdays @ 5:45pm.

SJFG MUSIC MINISTRY

“Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the trimbel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Our purpose is to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God which is our reasonable services (Romans 12:1). Our mission is to lead the church to praise and worship through music and to provide the audience with a meaningful worship and musical experience by exalting God through music and to provide musical education for children, youth and adults. SJFG's DANCE AND DRAMA MINISTRY

“Thou are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things: and for thy pleasure they are and were created” (Revelation 4:11). “Let them praise him in the dance.”(Psalm 149:3) The bible says that David danced before the Lord with all of his might. (2 Samuel 6:14).

Our purpose is to express the word of God through Dance and Drama by acting out the word of God through parables and scriptures. We believe in ushering an intimate relationship with God through praise and worship. We proclaim release to the captives and to set free those who are oppressed by exalting God though dance and drama. “Thou has turned for me my mourning into dancing” and girded me with gladness” (Psalm 30: 11). If you are interested in this organization, please  Sis.
